2008 Duke Engage Interns Michael Chen, Drummer Barco, and Peter Nakagami

Before you start, please take this survey. This information helps us determine the effectiveness of our program, so thanks in advance for your help!

We invite you to spend part of your day collecting vital scientific data as a Citizen Scientist.  Your job will be to mark the location of invasive plants along established trails and to return these maps to the Eno River State Park Visitor's Center at the end of your hike.  Citizen Scientists will confirm known infestations of invasive plants and alert Park Rangers to possible new infestations.

To get started, you can watch our training videos and collect your tools.

You can become a Certified Citizen Scientist by attending a few, short training sessions.

We will share the results of these studies using Google Earth.  Please visit our Google Earth Community web pages to see more results.
